The best way to order a custom shirt is to visit the shop in Johannesburg, to see examples in person, try on sizes, or start the fitting process.

1. Choose a fabric or choose a shirt from the styles on the rack

   • look through and feel our catalogue of fabrics in person or online

     • We offer over 1000 fabric choices from Italian and Swiss fabric mills: Alumo, Canclini, Solbiati, and Bonfanti

     • We also stock a small selection of Japanese denim shirting

   • browse through the shirts on the rack for inspiration

2. Choose the fit that's right for you:

   • try on the men's standard sizes on the rack to see if they work for you

   • if the standard sizes can be improved upon, we will start the custom fitting process by measuring your figure and then pinning and sculpting the calico fitting pattern

   • for women, we offer custom-fit only, so we will take your measurements once you are ready to order

   • if you've already had a custom pattern made, we can use it to make another shirt for you

3. Customize the design details:

   • start from scratch with the design and choose collar, cuffs, pockets, buttons, and all the other details individually, or get inspiration from the shirts on the rack

   • we will help guide you through the process so that your shirt is flattering and comfortable, in addition to being tailor-made

Shirts cost roughly R6000, depending on the cost of the fabric chosen.

For a custom fit, there is an initial fee of R1000 for the custom pattern-making and fitting process. Through this process, we produce a master pattern that will be used each time you order a shirt. It’s a once-off fee, and even if you gain or lose weight, we don’t charge again to adjust your master pattern.

Accessories

We have neckties, pocket squares, and bowties available for purchase in the workshop/showroom at 44 Stanley. If you see a particular style that you like on the website and wish to purchase it in the shop, please contact us before you visit the showroom so that we can make sure that it is available. We also have a selection of fabrics to choose from for custom-made neckties, bowties, and pocket squares.

Neckties range in price from R695-R1350, depending on the fabric chosen. Bowties are R550 and can be made in an adjustable or custom size. Pocket squares are R210 and range in size from 9"-12".

Shipping

International shipping to most of the world via DHL express (2-3 business days) is based on weight and can be quoted by request.

Courier within South Africa (1-3 business days) costs R100-R200 depending on the delivery location.
